Premiere of the RX Female Awards powered by Female Future Festival: These are the winners

RX Austria & Germany focuses on female empowerment and awards role models from various industries. At the start of FIBO, the world's largest trade show for fitness, wellness and health, the first RX Female Awards were presented in Cologne.

 

RX Austria & Germany, together with the Female Future Festival, created the "RX Female Award" to honour women who act as role models in their industry through their extraordinary commitment, determination and competence. The first RX Female Future Award was presented during this year's FIBO in Cologne on 12 April. "The nominees' commitment has a significant impact on women in the fitness industry. That is why we want to offer these inspiring personalities a special platform," says Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein, CEO of RX Austria & Germany.

The award is a joint initiative of RX and the Female Future Festival - the largest festival for women dedicated to the topics of female empowerment, new worlds of work, leadership, innovation and careers - and its founder Verena Eugster. "Verena is an ideal partner for this project, as she has long pursued the goal of empowering, inspiring and encouraging women. We are delighted that she is part of this initiative," says Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein.

All nominations were judged by the jury consisting of Verena Eugster, Benedikt Binder-Krieglstein and Liz Terry, CEO and Publisher of Leisure Media. Two winners were awarded in the categories "Role model" and "Youngster". The award ceremony took place during the European Health & Fitness Forum (EHFF), which kicks off FIBO and brings together the leading minds of the international fitness industry. 

 

Winner RX: Role model

The first winner in the "Role model" category is Rebecca Passmore, Managing Director of the British gym chain Pure Gym. She is one of the most experienced female executives in the fitness industry and is responsible for her company's largest market. "Rebecca has shown that it is possible to have a successful career as a female executive and raise a family at the same time," said Binder-Krieglstein.

"I am honoured to receive the first RX Female Award, an award that recognises the important role women play in the global fitness industry. I am incredibly proud of the work we are doing at PureGym to make fitness more accessible to people in all of our markets, while inspiring and empowering more women to pursue their passion for a career in the fitness industry. None of this would be possible without the incredible team around me - I am inspired, challenged and supported by them every day," Rebecca Passmore emphasises.

 

Winner: RX Youngster

Luise Walther, founder of LUI - Neurocentric Training, received the "RX Female Youngster Award" for her commitment to neurocentric training focused on pain relief and movement improvement, which aims to improve clients' quality of life. "Winning the RX Female Award in the Youngster category is a milestone for me in diversity, change of perspective and innovation in the fitness sector. With LUI - Neurocentric Training, I advocate courage, curiosity and enjoyment in training and want to close the gap between medicine and fitness. To do this, we need to rethink training together. I am grateful for this award and the support to push forward my vision of a holistic and diverse fitness philosophy," says Walther.

 

Award ceremony planned at other trade show formats

"This year, FIBO gave the starting signal for the RX Female Award", emphasises Binder-Krieglstein. The aim is to implement the award for other sectors and to present it at other RX trade fairs. Awards for representatives of the bar and beverage sector ("Bar Convent Berlin") and the gastronomy and hotel sector ("Alles für den Gast", Salzburg) are to follow.
